KNOW HOW OF SPC FLOORING
WHAT IS SPC FLOORING?
Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) flooring is also called RCB(Rigid Core Board). It is an upgrade of Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT).
The main content of spc are natural limestone powder, polyvinyl chloride and stabilizer which combined by a certain ratio to provide us a very stable composite material.
It’s the new generation of floor covering, and it has been designed with Click-Locking joint system,so it can be easily installed on different types of floor base, such as concretes ,ceramics or existing flooring etc.
Further more,SPC is formaldehyde free, 100% waterproof ,completely safe flooring covering materials for both residential and public environment.
How is SPC different from LVT?
This biggest difference between SPC and LVT is that SPC is waterproof.
It can also be laid over most subfloors with little preparation. Unlike traditional vinyl floor that will highlight any unevenness present in the subfloor, the rigid core of SPC flooring allows for longer and wider format options so you don’t have to worry when installing over cracks or divots in subfloors.
Is SPC better than laminate?
The biggest advantage of SPC is that it’s waterproof and appropriate for areas where laminate shouldn’t be used – bathrooms, for example. In addition, the wear layer of SPC offers more cushion and absorbs sound to make a quieter floor.
